In this paper we investigated a new sustained-release phosphorus agent can be used to remove phosphorus in wastewater treatment by chemical precipitation.Wastewater treated by this agent proved to meet B standard for urban wastewater discharge.We also accomplished selection and optimization of this sustained-release phosphorus agent,and further achieved the capability measurement and equipment application.According to the previous results and comparisons,biological phosphorus removal wastewater treatment has been proved always have problems to meet urban wastewater discharge standards compared with chemical precipitation.Therefore,it is essential to find new chemical precipitation agents and improve agents' capability.The new sustained-release phosphorus agent we applied here had shown a strong potential because of the lower costs,stable PH level and flexible dosing time.We examined theoretical dosage and reaction time of our agent through beaker test,and adjusted formula fit according to efficiency of phosphorus removal level,sustained-release time,difficulty to produce and production costs.Thus,we came up a standard protocol with the lowest budget and the highest efficiency.We further performed continuous pilot test on our agent and proposed the possibility of equipment application successfully.This study not only functions at phosphorus removal in wastewater treatment,but also can be adapted in other kinds of chemical precipitation methods in the future.
