By the one-sided pursuit of industrial society,the human greedily draws various natural resources in order to achieve economic benefits,thus intrinsic drawbacks of industrial civilization unceasingly appear and the deteriorating living environment has brought human sufferings.With the development of economic globalization,there is a rapid development of ecological crisis,and China cannot also survive the global crisis.Since the reform and opening-up policy,China has achieved significant economic and social development and become the world’s second largest economy.However,evil consequences due to excessive pursuit of economic development have gradually emerged and this deformed development trend has resulted in a series of environmental issues.Hence,resources and environment and ecological issues have increasingly become constraints for China’s further economic and social development.Since Xi Jinping acted as the Party and state leader,he has put forward a lot of new ecological viewpoints and inferences in terms of new situation of ecological crisis at present in China and raised ecological civilization construction to a new level,which has been developed into a set of ecological civilization thoughts with Chinese characteristics in the course of practice.The paper is intended to comb formation and development process of Xi Jinping’s profound and insightful ecological civilization thoughts by systematically analyzing his ecological civilization thoughts so as to summarize and extract main content of Xi Jinping’s ecological civilization thoughts,i.e.“ecology determines rise and fall of civilization”,“two clear understandings” and “acquisition of both gold and silver mountains and green hills and clear waters”.Also the paper is intended to interpret Xi Jinping’s ecological civilization thoughts and analyze the implementation path and contemporary value of the thoughts from the perspective of materialist stand and dialectical ecological development concept.Xi Jinping’s informative and insightful ecological civilization thoughts are not only a strong ideological weapon to promote ecological civilization construction of our country,but also provide action guide for“construction of beautiful China and realization of sustainable development of China”.
