In the process of industrialization,human's predatory exploitation of coal resources has become an increasingly serious ecological environment problem.This problem are not only the issue of which one region or country faced with,but also a global problem which has spread all over the world.This problem especially stresses the ecosystem functions of coal resource areas.Although,at present,there are many researches about the impact of mineral resource exploitation on regional ecosystem functions at home and abroad,there is no deeper research and analysis on how mineral mining stress the ecosystem functions of those mineral resource-based areas,of which the ecological environment are relatively fragile.So studying coal mining's stress effect on ecosystem functions has important theoretical and practical significance.This paper reviews and summarizes domestic and overseas researches,explores how coal mining stresses ecosystem functions,constructs the System Dynamics(SD)model of coal mining's stress on ecosystem functions.Then based on SD model,this paper uses the Vensim PLE to simulate the effect of coal mining's ecosystem function under different conditions.Finally,this paper selects Huainan city,a typical coal resource city,as an example to do analyze,and proposes suggestions for the sustainable development of ecosystem functions in coal resource area based on study results.The results show that coal mining stresses ecosystem functions by destroying ecosystem structures,changing ecosystem habitats,and disturbing ecosystem cycles.And different situation has different stress,and the order was situation 5(bad state)> situation 4(dead state)> situation 3(general state)> situation 2(benign state)> situation 1(ideal state).Government plays an important role in ecosystem functions protection,ecological management investment is an important method.Coal mining's stress on ecosystem functions will be smaller when the ratio of ecological management investment coefficient or coal mining technology investment coefficient becomes larger.And when the ratio is 0,coal mining system and ecosystem functions system are in bad state;when it is during 0 and 1,they are in general state;when it is 1,they are in benign state;and when it is over 1,they are in ideal state.The ecosystem functions of Huainan city is in general state which is similar to the third situation,and the system dynamics model can be tested by validity.
