In recent years, with the development of economy, the printing industry in our country has been growing rapidly. At the same time, a great deal of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) have been produced while promoting the economic growth. Printing and packaging industry VOCs are characterized by low concentrations, high winds, and it is difficult to deal with the exhaust gas, which may give rise to adversely affected to the surrounding environment and human health. In this paper, the status of research on printing and packaging, the main production links, components and hazards of VOCs are discussed. The survey of 80 printing and packaging enterprises in Suzhou City is carried out through form survey and key enterprise field investigation. The product category, printing technology, Ink and thinner use, control measures and other aspects of the statistical analysis of the printing and packaging industry to provide relevant measures to control:the use of macro-control,source control and end of the measures to control the printing and packaging business VOCs prevention and treatment, There are printing and packaging processing technology based on the relevant recommendations.
