On the behalf of female gender symbol for hundreds of years,dress still retains exuberant vitality in the fashion arena.The dress is known as “Fashion queen”.Due to its prominent feminine quality as well as its extensive inclusion of people,places,collocation and season,the dress has become one of the women's dress categories favored by consumers and one of the categories shall be taken into consideration for brands in image design and product planning.With the development of the society and the rise of “she-economy”,the 80's female has become the main force in modern female clothing consumer market.Nowadays,most of the80's female have already given birth.The changes in figure,mental state and life style after the fertility have caused the change of their dress requirements.Under this background,how to clarify their consumer demand and grasp the business opportunities brought by this change have become the key of the dress design research in this paper.With the consumer group of the 80's mothers as the starting point,this paper analyzes the correlation between consumers and dress from the angle of demand and tries to find out the corresponding dress design method in order to find effective communication way between the brand and consumers.First,this paper explains the dress features,interprets its connotation from the perspective of the category and combs the diversification phenomenon causes of dress demand and the commercial value of dress under the current consuming background,laying the foundation for the following relationship between the dress and consumers.Second,it analyzes the life style of 80's mothers,the psychological state before and after fertility and female clothing situation through questionnaires,photo observation,interviews and other work.Then it concludes that the diversification of clothing demand after the fertility narrows down and summarizes the demand characteristics of comfort,convenience,feminine and vitality.Based on the correlation between the demand and the dress characteristic,it summarizes that the 80's mothers can be divided into three representative crowds according to their clothing: the first isthe flashy moms,who not only pay attention to figure,but also highlight the feminine characteristics;the second is the city hip mothers,who lay emphasis on comfort and pursue fashion and vitality;the third is the occupation-based mothers who pay attention to comfort and many occasion-wearing.It analyzes the key points of different images on dress demand,dressing situation and dress expression point according to the core dress wearing images of different types of people and acceptable images.Then,based on the demand characteristics of the 80's mothers,it summarizes the three design methods of the dress: inclusive design method,extensive design method and additional design method.It finds out the main points of dress design for different types of the 80's mothers,analyzes the expression of these design elements in the brand with examples and puts forward targeted design scheme on the basis.
