Pipeline transport is a common and important mode of transportation which can provide basic transportation support for the development of national economy. During the pipeline transportation operation, pipeline is faced with threats of aging, destruction and corrosion which has caused the pipeline leakage accident frequently, thus not only the huge economic losses have been suffered, but also the environment has been seriously polluted.Therefore, it has been an important research subject on pipeline leaks detection and location.In the meantime, the stealing oil by drilling a hole on line pipe under hidden tunnel in domestic long distant petroleum product pipeline is an existing incident which not only causes the concerned petroleum company suffer from economic loss, but bring the hazard and risks on environment pollution. Because of the above mentioned, the accurate leak detection technology is highly demanded in domestic petroleum pipeline transportation market.Nowadays, the new detection technology could meet the requirement on location of leaks and detection of oil thief. An operator works with leak detection system in Center Control Station, monitoring pipeline transportation. Thus any unexpected and abrupt leaking accident and incident could be detected and located. In the meantime, the oil theft activity, if there is any, will be detected and monitored. In spite of the fact that no perfect technology is available now to present from oil theft, but negative pressure wave method become one of the best technologies which has been widely used in petroleum pipeline operation all over the world.With this technology, leaking warning can be provided and leaks can be located to some extent. This article especially explains pressure sensor signal filtering technology as core technology——Kalman Filter. At current stage, the Kalman filter algorithm based on pipeline internal model can detect the location of pipeline leakage and play a better role than the rest of others in this respect. However, the algorithm model is complex which requires a large amount of calculation, so leading to have limitation of wide application. With Kalman filter algorithm based on signal pipe model, model algorithm is relatively simple, but itself has certain uncertainties, such as weak signal anti-jamming capability, so that the accuracy of leak alarm, positioning accuracy and robustness are not high as a whole. With a better understanding of the advantage and disadvantage of this system, in the further study of theKalman filter algorithm, increase of model accuracy and anti-jamming signal, and reduction of false positive rate of pipeline leak will be of significance in the pipeline leak detection and location, which have introduced a good philosophy and practical value.In the field of the mainstream of the pressure drop signal capture technology, high quality pressure numerical filtering technology is dominant at domestic. For example,wavelet transformation used by Zhongjiachengxin, Kalman filter and wavelet transform method used by Tianjin University and innovation sequence and robust Kalman filtering method used by Beijing University of Chemical Technology. All above methods must be incorporated with other technologies to develop and reach their comprehensive preponderance, thus judgment of any individual filtering method is not of significance. So far,numerical filtering technology as research point and direction too many research institutes and enterprises in order to reduce rate of leaking detection system report and mistakes.In this paper, firstly the pipeline leak detection and location method based on filter is fully analyzed, and then the data identification based on the historical condition of pipeline model are established, and a STARVIEW based software platform are built up, on the basis of which, the adaptive Kalman filter pipeline leak detection and location system is designed.The adaptive Kalman filtering in the pipeline leak detection system, the application of specific configuration in combination with the actual operation environment have realized the long-distance pipeline leak detection system and method for analysis for realization of the working condition of data collection, as well as for the leakage situation and judgment and positioning. Through the analysis of the specific implementation, the adaptive Kalman filtering in the pipeline leak detection system will test actual results.Experimental results show that the design based on starview ICS system adaptive Kalman filter in pipeline leakage detection and location method can effectively improve filtering performance, ensure that the system can generate good robustness in respect of model uncertainty, and reduce the false alarm rate thus the positioning accuracy can meet with operational requirement.
