Warhead as a weapon system is an important component of the effectiveness of its production, processing, transport, use and storage, there is a risk of artificial or accident fire. High explosive which has heat-sensitive feature is taken place complex thermal decomposition reaction in heating process. Chemical reactions release heat further accelerates the accumulation of heat, and ultimately it lead to the occurrence of explosive combustion or explosion. Research on the safety of explosive is cook-off test and numerical simulation. Cook-off test is mainly in charge of the macro response characteristics for direct observation. Numerical simulation for explosive thermal decomposition is a comprehensive analysis. It overcomes the shortcomings of long cycle and the system data is difficult to fully and accurately measure in cook-off test.Numerical simulation could through the medium of transfer boundary condition, look into that ignition disciplinary impact, supply theory gist with in reason evaluate explosive heat security.Current commercial software can simulate the cook-off phenomenon, but it requires the user interface design based on secondary development program to achieve energy-containing thermal decomposition simulation. Foreign related professional software function is perfect, but it is difficult to obtain the source code. Therefore independent research and development of explosive thermal simulation software safety is imminent. This paper is based on the "Energetic Materials Dynamic Response Simulation Package", independent prepared a finite element numerical simulation program to realize multi-step chemical reaction dynamics simulation in cook-off test.Firstly, in view of the current of cook-off test, this paper summarizes the research status, and explores the development direction. We focus on major foreign cook-off test numerical simulation program. Because of unable to get the user manual, we look for software development train of thought in the published literature, analyze the architecture and function module, and explore its numerical algorithm. These studies of numerical simulation program lay the foundation for the self-developed cook-off code.Secondly, based on "Energetic Materials Dynamic Response Simulation Package" on the use of finite element mind, we independent prepared a multi-step chemical reaction kinetics program for cook-off test. The program enables coupling calculation of external heat and chemical reactions. The reaction path for different explosives, prepared a different reaction models. In our algorithm, we realize the combination of explicit and implicit and control by parameter. We realized the three kinds of thermal boundary conditions in the algorithm to meet the requirements of most cook-off test.Based on this program, we can study explosives cook-off process, especially the variation of the content of the relevant component.Finally, this program typically explosives numerical simulation of cook-off, and added to the reaction path of the binder in the reaction model, bring it closer to the real environment.
