Boron-doped diamond has advantages over common diamond in abrasion resistance, chemical inertness, and affinity with iron metals which to some extent can alleviate chemical reactions in processing arc zone. In addition, brazing diamond tool has a superiority in bonding strength and clearance space that can relieve the problem of cuttings adhere to wheel effectively.Therefore, on the basis of existing studies about brazing process, this paper aims to provide guidance in development and performance of boron-doped diamond brazing tool. Ag-Cu-Ti alloy was chosen to make brazing diamond wheel. Additionally, simulation analysis and grinding experiment of titanium alloy were conducted to study the grinding force, force ratio and wear resistance of them. The main research contents are as follows:(1) The interface microstructure, element migration distribution and surface products formed on surface were observed to explore the interface reaction mechanism according to thermodynamics theory.(2) Common and boron-doped diamond were tested respectively to analyze the influence of temperature and brazing process on strength under different conditions.(3) Parallel dual-track monolayer brazing diamond wheel was developed to carry out the titanium alloy grinding experiment, to analyze the change law of grinding force and its ratio. In addition, ABAQUS finite element software was used to simulate the stress distribution of grits under load condition.(4) Explore grits wear characteristics under different accumulated material removal volume to create a wear resistance curve through the relationship between grits wear and accumulated material removal. At the same time, calculate and analyze the grinding energy ratio to explore wear resistance of the diamond.
