Experimental study of pyrolusite sintering flue gas desulfurization reveal that the gas-solid reaction mechanism, which provide a theoretical basis and guidance for sintering flue gas desulfurization of pyrolusite.Compressed air and pure sulfur dioxide gas were mixted into a simulated flue gas in this paper, The experiment on how low grade pyrolusite affect sintering flue gas desulfurization was conducted. Sintering flue gas temperature, gas flow rate and SO2 concentration effects on the desulfurization rate were investigated. The results show that the sintering flue gas desulfurization rate of pyrolusite increased with the increase of sintering flue gas temperature, decreased with the flue gas velocity increased. For intermittent operation, desulfurization rate decreased with the increase of SO2 concentration in inlet, which can reach about 70%.Under the condition of high temperature and low SO2 concentration, the discharge standards can be achieved.At the same time, sintering flue gas desulfurization gas solid reaction were studied through the model method. It is concluded that the gas solid reaction kinetics model of sintering flue gas desulfurization is three dimensional diffusion spherically symmetric model?D4?, the gas solid reaction process has nothing to do with chemical reaction, and the diffusion process is the control step; The gas solid reaction kinetic model equation of pyrolusite sintering flue gas desulfurization as follows:In which:A=2.14979, Ea=18.542KJ/mol.Through the research on the gas solid reaction of pyrolusite sintering flue gas desulfurizationand, the grain size of pyrolusite can be appropriately reduced and pyrolusite void diameter could be increased to reduce the effect of diffusion resistance on the reaction, through these ways the reaction rate increased and the desulfurization efficiency improved.
