With the increasingly fierce global competition, product development speed is becoming more and more important in determining the competitiveness of enterprises. This thesis is supported by Jiangsu Science and Technology Support Project—"Research on Green Design Technology and Application of Large High-speed Precision Five-axis Gantry Machining Center". Nowadays the design cycle of five-axis machining center is long and the market reaction is slow. A life cycle green design platform is established for the rapidity and greenness of product design.In this thesis, a three layers network architecture of green design platform is put forward on the base of Web and the green design of five-axis machining center is researched. Finally, based on the technologies of data storage, parametric design and reliability analysis, a life cycle green design platform for five-axis machining center is established by ASP.NET.The main research work is as following:(1) The whole life cycle process of five-axis machining center is analyzed and the functions of green design platform is determined based on it. A green design platform three layers framework is proposed, which includes network user layer, Web service layer and data information layer. Finally the work flow of green design platform is analyzed in detail.(2) Comprehensive green evaluation method is studied, including the evaluation of remanufacturing for parts and the evaluation of green design for machining center. Evaluation index system, weight determination and final evaluation method are put forward for both two kinds of evaluations.(3) The key technologies of green design platform are discussed. There are some technologies affecting the realization of platform, which includes data storage technology, parametric design technology and reliability analysis technology.(4) A platform database is created to store existing design resources and the platform running data in SQL Server 2012. And based on ASP.NET technology, the life cycle green design platform is constructed by Visual Studio 2013.The establishment of life cycle green design platform applies the digital and intelligent technology to the design process of five-axis gantry machining center, which can improve the product quality, shorten the product development cycle and effectively improve the market competitiveness of enterprises.
