Ultra low carbon if steel has excellent mechanical properties and is widely used in automobile and home appliance industry. With the continuous development of the national economy, the scope of application of the ultra low carbon if steel continuous expansion, the customer requirements for product quality and mechanical properties also increasingly stringent. Bayuquan iron and steel 1580 unit production of ultra low carbon if steel has the following two major problems,not only caused customers to complain, but also for the iron and steel products, the brand image of the adverse effects, and even the risk of loss of customers:(1)The purity of molten steel during casting is not enough, the mould level fluctuation, with high risk of strip.(2)Ultra low carbon steel IF3 yield strength is high, the extension rate is insufficient, can not meet customer requirements for mechanical properties of products.In this paper, combined with the production practice of ultra low carbon if steel in Bayuquan iron and steel industry in recent years, the problem of strip inclusion problem and the extension rate of ultra low carbon IF3 are studied and controlled. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)Through the research of strip inclusion types and causes, was taken to optimize the organization of production, improvement of ladle slag modification process, adjusting the key control points of converter, RH and casting machine and so on, ultra low carbon steel because of the liquid level fluctuations lead to the proportion of the slab degraded by 24.84% to 18.10%, the steel strip inclusion objection rate significantly reduced.(2)Through the analysis of ultra low carbon steel IF3 extension rate of the reasons for the low, by adjusting the composition of molten steel, optimizing slab heating and rolling temperature, improve the pressure ratio and other measures, the super hot rolled plate of low carbon steel IF3 extension rate of the increased 1.5%, cold-rolled plate elongation improved 2.7%, to meet customer requirements.
