Orange peel and sunflower seed shell was abounded in dietary fiber.But Orange peel and sunflower seed shell was treated as Waste. Extracting and using its soluble dietary fiber will prevent environmental pollution and waste of resources.Acid can destroy the intermolecular force of dietary fiber and degrade the cellulose macromolecule to form soluble small molecular polysaccharide. In this thesis, the extraction of soluble dietary fiber in orange peel and sunflower seed shell was conducted by acid method. Through single factor experiments, the effects of solid-liquid ratio, acid treatment temperature, acid treatment time and pH on the yield of extraction of soluble dietary fiber were investigated.The orthogonal test analysis was utilized to determine the optimal parameters of the extraction process. The experimental results showed that the best parameters for extraction of soluble dietary fiber:the ratio of material to liquid 25:1 (g/mL), acid treatment temperature of 90℃, acid treatment time 60min, pH 3.0. The yield was 6.35% with the optimum extraction conditon.The two factor test analysis was utilized to determine the single factor of extraction of soluble dietary fiber. The experimental results showed that the best parameters for extraction of soluble dietary fiber:the ratio of material to liquid 25:1 (g/mL), pH 2.0, acid treatment time 60min, acid treatment temperature of 90℃. The yield was 6.96% with the optimum extraction conditon.
