Epoxy glass flake is a kind of heavy anti-corrosion coating,especially in the field of marine heavy corrosion protection,its application has a great effect on the development and utilization of marine resources.In this paper,the epoxy glass flake anti corrosion performance were mainly studied,by means of friction and wear test,low temperature exposure,salt spray,UV aging,adhesion,gloss,resistance to cathodic stripping,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and a series of tests to study the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of glass flake.Using orthogonal analysis to study the coating materials from the formulation selection and construction technology,the formula and process parameters optimization of coating materials and more excellent properties.Results show:Coating with better performance could be gotten when the pressure was 0.70 ~ 0.75 MPa,gun speed was 40 ~ 60 cm/s,spraying distance was 15 ~ 20 cm,the range of initial temperature of material was 40 ~ 70 ℃.All the coating accord with wear performance index(Quality changes after abrasion 1000 r is less than 1.8 g),than the abrasion resistance of epoxy glass flake epoxy coating is poorer,but larger than the other two kinds of epoxy coating wear resistance are good;Four different epoxy coating corrosion after cycle test2400 h later,the coating surface in pulverization,rust,and color changes obviously,but the adhesion strength of the epoxy glass flake still can reach 6.7 MPa,it is better than the other three,and the least number of foaming line,unilateral corrosion,only 2.5 mm,light loss rate is minimal.the orthogonal experimental design method was selected to test the adhesion,the time of artificial ageing cycle,gloss and wear resistance.The results of experiments were calculated and variance analysis which were based on the design of experiment(DOE).the conclusions were obtained that the content of glass flake coatings had maximum perfor mance impact,followed by pressure,temperature and spray distance also had some impact,the impact of walking speed gun could not be seen.then Coating with better performance could be gotten when the content of glass flake was 15%~30%,the pressure was 0.70 ~ 0.75 MPa,spraying distance was 5 ~ 20 cm,the temperature was 50 ~ 60 ℃.An electrochemical method was used to analyze the corrosion resistance of epoxy glass flake.Through the analysis of epoxy glass flake coating resistance capacitance,EIS impedance changes,water absorption rate and characteristic frequency changes,The protection mechanism of the epoxy glass flake coating in each immersion corrosion stage was obtained.In the end,it is concluded that the glass flake layer is divided into a barrier to the penetration of the corrosion medium,which can effectively improve the resistance of the coating and be widely used as heavy anti-corrosion coatings.
