Petroleum oil pollution problems become more and more serious in recent years,if the marine environment pollution won’t be solved timely and effective,it will create the beyond repair result for marine ecological environment.So the oil absorption materials became one of hotspots in the field of research in recent years.Based on melt-blown polypropylene non-woven fabric as the base material,different ways of modification were used to prepar the oil absorption materials which have the good performance for oil absorbency and the fine physical performance.Based on melt-blown polypropylene non-woven fabric as the base material by the way of suspension polymerization to improve the oil absorption performance of non-woven fabric,lauryl methacrylate was as the monomer,benzoyl peroxide was as the initiator,twain – 80 and toluene were as the emulsifier.The optimum reaction conditions were confirmed by orthogonal experiments,monomer mass concentration was 4%,initiator mass dosage was 3%,the reaction temperature was 70 ℃,the reaction time was 120 min;The maximum grafting rate was 11.6%,the maximum saturated adsorption rate was 12.0 g/g,the maximum retention oil rate was 9.3 g/g.It was showed that the mechanical properties and physical properties were improved as well.According to the principle of similar miscibility,if the non-woven fabric was just grafted with a single monomer,it had a poor oil absorption performance result that can’t meet the needs for the complicated composition’ crude oil,etc.In this paper,a kind of modified melt-blown polypropylene non-woven was made by UV grafting two monomers(BMA and LMA)with MBPP,BP was as the photosensitizer,isopropanol and deionized water were as the solvent.The influence of the graft rate was studied from these aspects,such as the quality of the two kinds of monomer ratio,solvent volume ratio(isopropyl alcohol and deionized water volume ratio),irradiation time and the mass fraction of photosensitizer.The optimum reaction conditions were confirmed by orthogonal experiments,the rate of m(BMA)and m(LMA)was 4:4,the radiation time was 90 min,the BP mass concentration was 0.5%,the rate of V(isopropanol)and V(deionized water)was 1:4.The relationship was studied between graft rate and oil absorbency,it was showed that it had good oil absorbency performance if the graft rate was big.It was showed that the modified melt-blown polypropylene non-woven was better than the original for the mechanical properties and reuse performance.Based on the above two experiments,although the saturated adsorption rate and retention for oil ratio were increased of the non-woven fabric which was grafted with lipophilic group by chemical grafting or ultraviolet grafting,the physical properties was still not ideal.In order to improve the mechanical properties of modified melt-blown polypropylene non-woven further more to meet the need of practical application,a kind of MBPP/PET oil-absorbing composite material was preparated by hot-press bonding,which MBPP was grafted by UV and PET was PET was finished by fluorine-free water repellent finishing agent.The optimum routes were determined by orthogonal tests respectively for MBPP grafted with BMA and PET finished.The optimum reaction conditions of MBPP as follows,the monomer BMA mass concentration was 6%,the rate of V(isopropanol)and V(deionized water)was 1:5,the radiation time was 90 min,the BP mass concentration was 1.0%,and the maximal graft rate was 13.8%.The optimum reaction conditions of PET as follows,the water repellent finishing agent mass concentration was 65g·L-1,the crosslinking agent mass concentration was 9g·L-1,the rolling over rate was 60%,the maximum contact Angle was 130.82°.It was show that the composite oil absorption material MBPP/PET’s saturated adsorption rate for trichloroethylene was 11.2g/g,the oil keeping ratio was 9.5g/g,and the saturated adsorption rate for kerosene was 10.1g/g,the oil keeping ratio was 8.3g/g.Besides,the reuse performance and mechanical properties of the composite oil absorption material MBPP/PET were improved obviously,which made up the weakness for the poor material mechanics performance,and was good for the usability.
