The Research On Big Size Pipeline Pneumatic Internal Clamp With Back-up Copper Shoes

During the construction of big size pipeline, the pipe combination will affect the quality of welding and construction.Aiming at pipe combination, our research is designing a pneumatic internal clamp to ensure the quality of pipe combination satisfy relevant standards. This internal clamp adopts pneumatic actuator, it can move inside of the pipe automatically, and reach the required welding position, expand at the position, make two pipes combine perfectly.This article discusses the ?1219mm pipe joint welding equipment, which is a pneumatic internal clamp with copper shoes. We made detailed calculations for the mechanical structure and its pneumatic circle.Meanwhile, to make sure the welding quality can meet the requirements, a copper shoes is placed at the connector. This article makes contrast test and screening according to shoes materials' different features such as hardness, high temperature resistance, arc-resistance and fire resistance. We also discover by testing that the damage degree of copper shoes is different in different welding position. So, to extend the life time of the washer, we make some improvement of its structure.Because of adopting of this new equipment, we also do research on the root welding technique and reach related conclusions of stress performance after copper infiltration in welding.
