The silicone rubber foam materials has much excellent performance, such as low-density, high temperatures-resistence, noise-insulated, and others, which is widely used in the fields of building, transportation, packing, etc. But research on the rubber foam material is insufficient and mostly empirical. This thesis is focused on preparing silicone rubber foam materials and increasing its mechanical properties by a variety of impact factors, and study the relationship between its structure and properties by FTIR,SEM, TGA and etc.In the process of vulcanization, respectively use DBPMH, DCBP, DCP as curing agent, silicone rubber vulcanization rate and crosslink density are increasing within a certain content range, mechanical properties tend to max rapidly. Silicone rubber has similar and larger crosslink density and mechanical properties, using DBPMH and DCP.Compared with DBPMH, DCP has a wider content range(0.8~1.5phr), which can easier control of crosslink density.The effects of the varieties and amounts of blowing agent, and blowing methods were anylysed in order to elucidate the relationship between the structure and properties.It is shown that OBSH 10 phr and DCP 1.5phr, using molded foam process to prepare silicone rubber foam material, obtained low density and pore structure distributed evenly.As the molecular structure characteristics, silicone rubber and silicone rubber foam have low mechanical strength, which restrict their application. To enhance mechanical properties, blend silicone rubber with EPDM would be possibly, which having good mechanical properties and processing performance. The results showed that the directly addition of EPDM had no apparent effect on improving mechanical properties of silicone rubber foam and declined the thermal properties. Whereas A-172 was suitablecompatibilizer, physical properties of the blends increased as the content of increased up to 1 phr.
