Drying is a technology of removing excess water of materials,different materials need different drying technologies and equipments.The food drying is the main part of food processing.A lot of works were completed for food dryer that can dry and cool sausage,for example energy consumption analysis and improvement.The control systems,PID control and decoupling of temperature and humidity system were designed.First of all,DeST is the software about energy consumption simulation,it was used for analyzing energy consumption of food dryer.DeST simulated the working process of the air conditioning unit of food dryer,it is concluded that energy consumption of each device of air conditioning unit.After found that energy consumption problem,improved the food dryer for adding the enthalpy recovery wheel.The enthalpy recovery wheel mathematical model was developed.The higher heat recovery efficiency was obtained by controlling parameters.The energy consumption of improved food dryer really achieved the purposes of energy saving.Secondly,the control system was designed base on Siemens S7-300 PLC for achieving food dryer functions.The control system included the control of cool and heat air conditioning unit,the control of the transmission system and the heat recovery system.In order to expediently control food dryer in industrial applications,the monitoring system was designed by Win CC,which was able to focus on the real-time data and the status of the equipment,controlled the food dryer any time.Finally,with the gray box method of system identification,the mathematical models of air handling units of food dryer were developed,the parameters of mathematical models was determined with the least squares method.The PID controller controlled the surface air cooler and the heater to change the temperature and humidity of supply air.The temperature and humidity system of the food dryer was a multivariable linear coupling system,the temperature of supply air was affected by the surface air cooler and the heater at the same time.The temperature and humidity system was decoupled by the forward-feed compensation decoupling method,and the MATLAB simulation results of the system proved that is an efficient method.
