As one of efficient processing---high speed milling has been widely used in aviation industry and mold manufacturing, and greatly contributed to the development of today’s world manufacturing. Compared with ordinary cutting, there is different failure mechanism in high speed cutting because of high rotating speed and centrifugal force load, especially milling method is interrupted cutting, the stability of the high speed milling cutter not only affected by rotating speed and the cutting impact load. So it is very important to study the safety stability of high speed milling cutter which extended cutter life and improve processing efficiency.This dissertation rely on the national natural science fund projects "The safety recession mechanism and its cross-scale correlation design method of face milling cutter(50975067)",High speed milling cutter is studied the stability of cutter structure before cutting and post based on high speed cutting theory. Through the change of the dynamic balance before cutting and post, milling cutter quality distribution is analyzed. Then analyze the vibration characteristics in the process of cutting, and connect the cutter initial state, the dynamic characteristics before cutting, the stability of cutting, and the dynamic characteristics after cutting and final state of milling cutter. With the uneven wear to assess stability of milling cutter, main research contents are as follows:First of all, through the analysis of the cutting layer parameters, acquire the stability of structure in the case of deformation and displacement of milling cutter structure is acquired in the case of deformation and displacement. And the deformation and displacement of milling cutter components are verified through radial and axial error test analysis, deformation and the degree of displacement of cutter component and cutting experiment.Through the analysis of high speed dynamic balance principle of a milling cutter, find influencing factors and evaluation indexes of the dynamic balance of high speed milling cutter. Through the text of dynamic balance before cutting, find the effect of initial radial and axial error on cutting stability. After compare the cutting errors, the change low is obtained the quality distribution of deformation and displacement by cutting force load and centrifugal load. The performance of stability will be get milling quality redistribution through centrifugal force vibration experiment before cutting and post.On the basis of the above research, obtain the change low of cutting vibrations vary with speed through cutting stability test. Meanwhile, study the law of vibration before cutting and post and reveal the change low of cutting stability between unequal tooth and equal tooth cutter.Finally, this paper build a high speed cutter cutting stability test platform based on vibration indicators which include radial and axial error of cutter, cutting force, the dynamic balance, vibration and blade wear. Then the paper obtains the uneven of tooth wear and builds the comprehensive evaluation model of cutting stability.
