The parameters and construction procedure of dump are important influencing factors for safety and cost of dumping in surface mine, optimization on parameters and construction procedures have important significance for economic benefit and safety production of surface mine.The capacity lack of the existing spreader in Yuanbaoshan surface mine during the river diversion, which caused by accelerated drawdown for realizing inner dump as soon as possible, increased stripping ratio, in order to ensure smooth implementation of the dumping connection placidly, a new truk outer dump urgently needs to be established. This paper selects the reasonable position of dump with the method of technical and economic comparison, determines the stable slope angle and the final dumping elevation with the method of rigid body limit equilibrium, establish optimization model of step height in order to get the minimum stripping transport work of dumping, determine the reasonable step height, establish optimization model of dumping procedure in order to get the minimum net present value of comprehensive cost, optimized dumping procedure.The research results in this paper can reduce production costs, improve economic benefit, ensure smooth implementation of the dumping connection placidly during the river diversion in Yuanbaoshan surface mine.
