| In the petrochemical industry, the fluid sealing technology is used widely. The media of transmission and production are characterized by high temperature and high pressure, inflammable and explosive, toxic and harmful. Once the media leak to the atmosphere, the material will be wasted, the device will be stoped, the companies will suffer economic loss, the atmospheric environment will be compromised and the human life safety will be dangerous. It follows that the safety and steady operation of the seal structures are very important. The study of the fluid sealing technology has a very positive meaning for the smooth and effective operation of the pump. The study is particularly important for the large key compression unit in the petrochemical industry.The rich gas compressors in the catalytic units and the recycle hydrogen compressors in the heavy oil hydrogenation units have many problems in use. For this reason, the paper has carried on the research and reform through the analysis of sealing and the related theories in the following two aspects:The pneumatic labyrinth seal of the rich gas compressor in the catalytic units is reformed. Initially, a simple inflatable labyrinth seal is used in the rich gas compressor in catalytic unit, but the sealing effect is poor. After six months, the labyrinth seal shows signs of seal leakage. The inspection found that the labyrinth seal is damaged. Therefore, the units can not meeting the target of long term operation, according to the requirements of the company. In this paper, through increasing the pumping gas facilities on the basis of the original seal, the study ensures the safety of the seal and realizes the target of the long period operation of the unit.The problem of the floating ring seal in the circulating hydrogen compressor of the heavy oil hydrogenation units is resolved in this paper. Based on the analysis of the stress and the static calculation of the sealing ring, the influence factors of the failure is find out.In view of these factors, a comparative analysis is carried out in order to find out a method which is feasible, economical and effective for transforming the seal. Finally the seal achieves the desired results through several validations. |
