In today’s society, the development of science and technology advance increasingly and the urbanization accelerate gradually, public infrastructure projects are catching more and more attention and its development degree is increasingly perfect. Landscape lamp, as one of the numerous public facilities, is constantly developing and changing in shape, material and light sources. Designers require the design of modern outdoor landscape lamps not only provide basic light to the surroundings, but also can reflect the age characteristics of science and technology, and at the same time,can reflect cultural connotation of the particular environment. These landscape lamps cannot play a role in lighting, decorating and reflecting cultural history of the environment, also brings abrupt visual perception to tourists. It has become a social issues the leaders of a city,the general public and designers focus on.The design environment of this article will be located at the Nanhai temple, a Chinese classical temple environment in Henan province. First of all, know the development history of outdoor landscape lamp at home and abroad, and then compare the structure, material,technology, and light source of all kinds of landscape lamps, then sum up the design trends of the current outdoor landscape lamps. Afterwards summarize the characteristics of Chinese traditional temple architecture and the current status of outdoor lamps. Finally, centering on the Nanhai temple in Henan Province,understand the cultural background and present situation of the outdoor landscape lamps of the temple. According to the previous contrast of structure,material, processing technology and the light sources to landscape lamps, select the suitable material, light source. Analyze the architectural elements, colors and size in Nanhai temple, and then determine modeling element,color and the size of the outdoor landscapelamps, so as to design a series of outdoor landscape lamps,not only ensure the material, light source reasonable, but can reflect the Buddhist culture of Nanhai temple.The target is summarizing a set of systematic and logical method for the outdoor landscape lamps design of China ancient architecture,such as Nanhai temple.
