The safety of flood control engineering is significant event related to whether the open-pit coal mine can normal production and business operation, so studying the dam system engineering scheme decision and dam risk evaluation has important theoretical significance and practical value. Flood control dam system in the Hal WuSu open-pit coal mine is as the main research object of the paper, by application of fuzzy hierarchy analysis, the integral-FOSM method and other theories, evaluation index system and valuation method of decision making of flood control works, and overtopping risk in the Hal WuSu open-pit coal mine dam system aspects carried on the thorough analysis and research.The main research results as follows:According to characteristic of gully valley terrain region and the layout of open pit coal mine flood control engineering, evaluation index system and evaluation standard of flood control project are built, the multi-level fuzzy evaluation model based on AHP is established. The multiple of Hal WuSu open-pit mine flood control scheme are made analysis, the optimum project planning scheme is determined.Failure mode identification method of flood control engineering system are systemly analyzed, combined with the flood control system failure loss's economy, flooding risk concept of the open pit mine is introduced, system failure pattern recognition framework is built based on flood loss and the flood process. Based on function and failure probability analysis of open-pit mine dam system and tributary system, recognition the main failure pattern and calculation of failure probability are discussed.By integral-FOSM, overtopping risk of single dam in the flood control engineering has been carried on the analysis and calculation, the reliability and risk issues of the whole flood control system composed of series and parallel subsystem is discussed.
