In recent years, with the increase of mining depth in the coal mine, with gradual expansion of mining scale,mining technology is gradually innovating. at the same time, frequent occurrence of gas outburst and explosion accident seriously constrain to coal development. How to effectively control the gas has become the key technical problems for Chinese government and coal enterprises to realize safe and reasonable and efficient exploitation. Gas drainage technology is the important technology for reducing risk of coal and gas outburst and reducing gas emission in the mining process. But in the practical production process, due to many factors influencing the gas occurrence, gas emission, gas distribution, gas migration, gas flow law, such as geologic structures, adsorption constants, coal seam porosity, coal seam gas pressure, gas permeability of coal seams, metamorphism degree of coal, coal seam thickness, coal seam depth, the condition of mining fissure, thickness of upper rock cover and many other influence factors. All of them restrict the gas drainage technology development.Author summarizes the previous theory research result of geological storage and distribution characteristics of mine gas, influential factors of gas emission and gas migration law under the influence of mining in the coal seam by referring to plenty of references, on this basis, author summarizes gas drainage technologies for different geologic structures in existence. Aiming at practical geologic conditions and gas outburst state, author introduce gas drilling technology of using kilometer drilling rig, and predicts the effects of gas drainage. At present, kilometer drilling technology is still in a stage of exploration and study, the application is not spread in China. As a result, the article summaries the accidents easily occurred in the process of drilling by using kilometer rig, analyzes causes of accident, and raises respond technical measures. Taking 15101,15102 conveyor gateway heading face and 15102 working face as examples to be studied, making comparisons kilometer rig introduced with ordinary small rig existed in the respect of application conditions, hole distributions, charges needed, etc. conclusions can be easily obtained by comparisons, ultra-long drilling technique of gas drainage by using kilometer rig can increase gas drainage and improve drainage efficiency significantly, improve drainage effect obviously, and cut gas drilling costs substantially.
