Mineral resource is a kind of important and basic raw material for the economic development which is widely used in the field of metallurgy, architecture, transportation, chemical and engineering etc. Meanwhile, it is not renewable natural resources. Many countries are actively promoting suitable development strategies. In this situation, mineral processing enterprises should pay more attention to the quality of the products, reducing production cost, saving resource consumption and reducing environmental pollution. Only in this way can the increasingly high quality requirements of the enterprises be satisfied and can the enterprises be enabled to exist and develop better. This determines the necessity to realize the information management for the enterprises.The information management includes the monitor and statistics of all kinds of index data in the mineral process, which can help the production personnel to know accurately the raw materials, technological parameter, and quality index, analyze the abnormal quality, and give the specific solutions. At present, there exist some disadvantages, such as the incomplete monitoring indicators, the backward software technology, in production index monitoring system in the domestic small and medium-sized processing enterprises. To solve these questions, the thesis developed a monitoring and controlling system for the dressing production quality to integrate, monitor and analyze all kinds of index data information from the concentrating mill.The main works of this thesis are as follows:(1) We research and analyze current state of the mineral processing production index monitoring system and monitoring method. Then combining the actual demand of the concentrator, this thesis puts forward monitoring methods of mineral production quality, which including selecting several important factors from indexes which affecting the quality directly or indirectly which is based on PLS-VIP, and realizing abnormal analysis of mineral quality which is based on case-based reasoning technology; meanwhile the detailed demand analysis for the whole mineral processing production index monitoring system is completed.(2) Then, the software architecture, functions, interfaces and database are designed respectively. The system uses the C/S mode software architecture and the idea of layered design in which the whole system is divided into four layers including user interface layer, business logic layer, data access layer and data layer; the main function modules include data management, data statistics, the screening of the indicators impacting quality, the show of associated indicators, the analysis of abnormal quality and system maintenance, etc.(3) Then, the system is implemented with C# language based on the.NET Framework platform, Visio Studio 2008 development environment and oracle llg database. The functionalities developed in the thesis mainly contain:realizing the statistics data of kinds of mineral production indexes with production report in the module of data statistics; succeeding in selecting the important indicators impacting quality and showing the associated indicators; analyzing the quality when it happen to be abnormal. After implemented and verified with MATLAB, the algorithms are embedded into the C# platform, realizing the interacting of the. NET Framework platform and MATLAB. Furthermore, several necessary external interfaces and internal interfaces are provided in the thesis.(4) The application verification is presented. Some actual production data of the JISCO Project are used to test each function module in the thesis. The results of functional tests show that the system satisfies the aforementioned requirements of functionalities and performance, improves the accuracy and utilization of the information processing of the production indexes, strengthens the monitoring function for production indexes in dressing mill and ensures the quality of the products ore.
