In order to research the coal and gas outburst control effect by geological factors in Pingdingshan No.10 mine,firstly, investigate the key controlling factor of east and west division features in Pingdingshan mining area, the comparative analysis method was used. The distribution of gas content, outburst characteristics and tectonic coal in west and east part of the mining area was analyzed. Besides, the stress and gas coupled and played a control role on the outburst of eastern Mining areas were discussed.The results show that the gas content and outburst scales of eastern mining areas was significantly higher than that in western which due to the eastern fold region. Folds in the eastern mining area playing an key controlling role on outburst. The difference of tectonic between western and eastern cause the difference of tectonic coal and gas content, providing different conditions for in-stu stress and gas coupling.So the folds in eastern and the Guodingshan Fault in western which lead to a different stress is the key factors of division features in east and west Pingdingshan mining area.No.10 mine is a typically fold structure which is in the area of the eastern part of the folds. In order to research the coal and gas outburst control effect by geological factors in Pingdingshan No.10 mine, the outburst regional regularity of coal seams was analyzed by using coal and rock dynamic and gas geological theory. The result show that the coal seams had an obvious zonation of outburst. It is concluded that outburst had a zonation in northeast wing of Guozhuang anticline and the stress is the most concentrated area. Besides, the partitions differences of geological factors is due to the tectonic stress inhomogeneity in different part of folds.The effect of coal thickness,tectonic coal and the distance between the adjacent coal seams on gas outburst was discoursed. What’s more, the stress and geological factors are coupled and control the outburst combined with the measured data of stress. The folds and in-situ stresses have the main control effect on outburst. then numerical simulation was used to support the argument. Finally, the outburst risk of not mining areas were predicted by the above view.
