The haze caused by fine particulate matter pollution has become a serious environmental problem. Water area of Wuhan city is the biggest of China, the high wet all the year round and high incidence rate of haze. Based on the theory of pollution meteorology, we use the typical meteorological data and the air pollutant data from 19 air quality automatic monitoring stations in Wuhan, the meteorological parameters data from outdoor monitoring and the method of combining theoretical study, to study the correlation of water-Land breeze and the haze, the main results were as follows:1. The air in Wuhan City is heavily polluted nowadays. The fact that the pollution of PM2.5 is more serious than that of PM10. The seasonal concentration of pollutants changes like winter > autumn > spring > summer. High concentration pollutants, high temperature and low humidity always appear in central area, but the opposite phenomena appear in the north and south suburban districts.2. Land and water wind in summer presents far more frequently than that in winter in Wuhan. The river or lake wind often begins at 07:00-08:00 in summer, while an hour's later in winter; the land wind often begins at 19:00-20:00 in summer, but two hours' earlier in winter. The study that, when there is river or lake wind, the relative humidity is lower and the wind speed is two times fast when the river and lake wind is coming.3?There was a unique local wind field in Wuhan, when the river wind and the lake wind blew, a convergence zone was easy to form in the Qingshan District, Hongshan District and Wuchang District located in between the Yangtze River and East Lake, which led to a slight increase in the concentration of pollutants and aggravated haze. As a result of the ground friction and low-speed wind, the convergence zone affected haze little. The area near the West Bank of Yangtze River, in which pollutants transport westward and the concentration of it decreased in a small margin. The remote region was immune from the river wind and land wind, the horizontal diffusion ability was weak, thus the concentration of pollutants is high. Humidity is an important factor leading to the increase of the occurrence or worsening haze.
