With the rapid growth of economy, the demand of coal which is one of the most important resources to support the improvement of our country is increasing. Also, the coal mine accidents occur frequently. So, the traditional monitoring system of coal mine safety production needs to be upgraded urgently. The internet of things technology, whose typical representative is wireless sensor network (WSN), has been booming and applied widely in recent years, and it provides a new solution to coal mine safety production monitoring system.This dissertation is based on in-depth study of wireless sensor network and on-the-spot investigation of coal mine. Also, the dissertation analyzes the related technologies about the internet of things which is applied to the coal mine safety production monitoring system at home and abroad. This dissertation designs and implements a prototype system of coal mine safety production monitoring which is based on wireless sensor network from the perspective of actual demand. The process of designing the prototype system can be divided into several parts. Firstly, this dissertation expounds the wireless sensor network and its application prospect. Secondly, this dissertation confirms the hardware system by illustrating the overall structure of the coal mine safety production monitoring system and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of existing technology. Thirdly, on this basis of the first two steps, the dissertation confirms the selection of sensor nodes according to the practical application of coal mine safety production, and designs the circuit of relevant function module and the software according to various function of hardware node, and develops the software based on android mobile phone and client software based on PC for coal mine safety production monitoring system. Finally, we deploy the coal mine safety production monitoring system which is based on sensor network in the simulation of coal mine environment to test. The test results reach the preset objectives. The dissertation finally summarizes and prospects the coal mine safety production monitoring system.
