With the increasing popularity of carbide materials applications, from the beginning of WC cemented carbide occurs, more and more kinds of cemented carbide are successively been invented. In order to guarantee the quality in the production process, many test methods have been proposed, in which the three quality control detection of a particular grade are relative magnetic saturation, coercive force, density detection,and it is particularly important.While the the study of magnetic saturation, especially detection, started relatively late. This paper proposed a data acquisition system that meet most carbide materials magnetic saturation detection demand from the practical detection applications of cemented carbides.Firstly, The paper throws light upon the history and current development of the cemented carbides, then it makes a conclusion on static magnetic parameters measure method of magnetic material.Magnetic materials Categories classification were introduced. And eventually, this paper has made a deep research into the magnetization phenomenon of ferromagnetic materials from both internal mechanisms and macroscopic behaviour.Then, the article given a detailed description of the Cemented Carbides magnetic saturation data acquisition system from the aspects of hardware and software design. In the aspects of hardware design, considering the overall demands, the FPGA EP2C8Q208C8 N was choosn as master control device, using USB2.0 communication protocol as the overall scheme of the data transmission channel. The paper studied the sensor apparatus, signal pre-conditioning, A/D converter and the functional simulation of FPGA control logic relate to those chips; In terms of software part, focused on the USB device control chip EZ-USB FX2 LP CY7C68013A, detailed elaboration of firmware program development, introduction of development process of Windows driver and designing on USB device driver were given in the paper. The article acceptted dynamic link library technology for further USB driver interface encapsulation, using Delphi for upper machine programming consuming less time to complete human interface development.The paper adopted multithreading technology for data acquisition, letting operation of the interface on PC and data collection task beening separated.Finally, the USB driver and firmware were certified. The paper tested the acquisition system through PC interface, which proved that it was able to set the acquisition parameters, monitor the I/O status, do the timer setting on PC. The final test of actual samples, through parameter setting, shown that the magnetic saturation electrical signals has been collected.The system has good repeatlity performance. And this data acquisition system provided reliable basis for subsequent further processing of the collected data.
