Anben Iron And Steel Group Corpration Dagushan Tailings Pond Stability Analysis

Tailings pond is a important part of the tailings storage facilities in mining production. Its stability is directly related to the people’s lives and property living downstream and the personal safety of mining enterprises production personnel. At present, management of the security sound field of tailings is imperfect in our country, and there have many problems in the production process of the tailings.In recent years, the safety of tailings dam break accidents are frequent, tailings dam accidents and casualties accidents in the field of safety production of mine industry in our country account for a larger proportion, so it is of great significance to study the stability of tailings reservoir, not only can guide the mine production, also can be analyzed quantitatively heightening reinforcement of tailings. This paper, combined with previous research results and the actual engineering, study on the Tailings pond stability analysis method. The main results are as follows.(1) This paper introduce the basic definitions, classification methods and damming methods of tailings and tailings dam, and briefly introduce some other facilities of the tailings. After statistic the break reason of tailings dam, we find 1/3 tailing dam accident is caused by the flood reason, which mainly due to flood damage to the facility or silted, excessive flooding, inadequate spillway capacity, followed by dam break leakage accidents, accounting for about 1/5.(2) This paper analysis and summary the stability analysis method of the tailings dam at present. Introduce the GeoStudio software, according to the four modules SLOP/W (slope stability analysis software)、SEEP/W (groundwater seepage analysis software)、SIGMA/W (stress strain analysis software)、QUAKE/W (dynamic response analysis software) calculation principle in detail.(3) Summary of GeoStudio software, simulation pretreatment method, after the research, through the CAD map into the modeling is simple and feasible and can increase the efficiency of modeling.(4) Take the Dagushan concentrator tailings pond as an example to outside the industry survey and data collection work. According to the survey data and the previous survey experience, make numerical simulation analysis of Dagushan mine tailings. Analysis results show that, the tailings is in the normal water level, the flood level is in the steady state. Seismic response analysis and liquefaction analysis of dam show the reaction in the input under seismic conditions is not very strong, liquefaction scope is also very small and did not affect the stability of the tailings dam area in the liquefied tailings.
