The electric arc plasma has many advantages such as high temperature,high power,energy concentration and easy operation.Therefore,it is widely used in aerospace,power engineering,materials science and other fields.In this paper,the magneto-hydrodynamics(MHD)equation is simplified and the numerical simulation is used to simulate the arc plasma jet flow and impinging jet flow field.UDF(User-defined Function)and UDS(User-defined scalar)method are used to couple CFD commercial software FLUENT as the platform,and the basic equation of fluid flow is coupled with the electromagnetic field equation to realize the accurate calculation of arc heat plasma flow field.Compared with the experiment of arc thermal plasma,numerical simulation can describe the flow field characteristics of arc free plasma free jet and impact jet,such as the temperature distribution of flow field.And then lay the foundation for the next step in the calculation of the integration of the arc wind tunnel.The flow condition of the arc thermal plasma in the nozzle is simulated,and the results are compared with the experimental results,which verifies the reliability of the preparation program.Also,the effects of different turbulence models on the arc plasma jet flow are discussed to reduce the errors of the numerical simulation.On the basis of this,the flow field distribution of the arc plasma jet is calculated for hydrogen,nitrogen,oxygen and air as the working fluid,and the influence of different working fluids on the flow field characteristics is analyzed.The flow field distribution of the free arc plasma jet with nitrogen as working fluid is calculated and compared with the calculated results,which verifies the accuracy of the calculated results.Meanwhile,the flow field distribution of the impinging jet of arc plasma is calculated.The influence of the impact distance and the angle of the vertebral body on the flow field is discussed under adiabatic conditions.Finally,the thermal conductivity of C / SiC composites under arc plasma impact is investigated,and the effects of the impact distance and the angle of vertebral body on the thermal conductivity of the composites are discussed.
