In arid and semi-arid areas, groundwater is at the core of the ecosystem, and many ecosystems, such as vegetation, rivers, lakes, wetlands and even deserts, are related to groundwater and depend on groundwater. In recent years, with the rapid development of economy,Golmud has gradually increased the development of groundwater resources, and has had a certain impact on the ecological environment. There is no effective way to quantitatively evaluate ecosystem services damage caused by groundwater resources development. This paper attempts to quantitatively evaluate the impact of groundwater resources development on ecosystem services damage. The main conclusions are three points:1)modified the "Chinese ecosystem unit area service value equivalent factor table",combined with the 1980-2015 year land use data of Golmud city to evaluate the ecological service function value of Golmud city. The result shows that the average total value of the ecological service function of Golmud is 47.370 billion yuan, and the value of ecological service function in 1980-2015 years is generally decreases. The value of ecological service function of wetland and grassland accounts for about 70% of the total value.Grassland and wetland ecological service function are the basis of maintaining the stability of ecological environment in Golmud. The largest desert area but the low value of its ecological service function is the important factor restricting the increase of ecological service function value in the study area. The ecological and economic coordination analysis of Golmud found that the ecological economy of Golmud was incompatible, the value of ecological service function was negative growth, and the ecological environment in Golmud had a certain tendency to deteriorate, which should be paid more attention.2)in arid and semi-arid areas, the surface water resources are limited, the growth of vegetation mainly depends on the groundwater, and the good growth of the vegetation needs a suitable groundwater level. The study on the relationship between vegetation and groundwater in Golmud oasis shows that the suitable growth water level of the vegetation in the oasis of Golmud is 1.5-4m,and the vegetation growth is more than 5m.It is obviously inhibited. When 7m is greater than most, most vegetation can not grow.3)in arid and semi-arid areas, vegetation has a high degree of dependence on groundwater, and groundwater development has the most direct impact on the groundwater level. Therefore, the evaluation of the ecological service value of vegetation can indirectly reflect the impact of groundwater exploitation on the ecology. On the basis of the study of groundwater and vegetation ecology, this paper presents a framework for quantitative assessment of the damage of ecological services caused by groundwater development, and gives a case. This framework makes it possible to consider the change of ecosystem service value caused by groundwater development in groundwater management.
