Gliding arc discharge plasma with cold and hot plasma characteristics at the same time and is widely used in waste gas treatment and flue gas purification technology field.The technology becomes one of research hotspots in the field of plasma technology because of its flexible operation,low production costs and no pressure restrictions.Currently,many studies have focused on its features under frequency power supply,the characteristics and the function mechanism of gliding arc discharge plasma under special power supply is no further researched.To improve the applications of gliding arc discharge in the industrial field,this article took the gliding arc discharge with the structure for industrial waste gas treatment as research target,mainly studied the physical and chemical properties of gas phase and gas-liquid two phase gliding arc discharge driven by high repetition pulse power under different discharge parameters,and discussed the regional distribution characteristics of the active particles in relation to the discharge parameters.The main results and conclusions are as follows:The effects of discharging parameters such as the discharging voltage,the frequency of the source,the distance of electrodes,the gas flow rate on the electrical properties of gliding arc discharge are researched through the recording of the discharging images,the voltage-current waveforms,the breakdown voltage as well as the calculation of the average discharging power.The results show that the repetitive pulse gliding arc discharge expresses the characteristics of restriking and fluctuation;the average discharging power reaches the highest value with the 14L/min gas flow rate and the gas-liquid arc discharge has higher discharging power than the gas arc discharge.Compared with power frequency,the repetitive pulse source concentrates more energy and gets higher energy efficiency.Focusing on the intensity of special spectrum and the electron excitation temperature,the relations between the distribution properties of the gliding arc discharge,the different discharging conditions and the plasma discharging parameters are studied by the diagnostic technology of plasma emission spectrum.The research shows that the gliding arc discharge plasma driven by repetitive pulse power has definite distributing property and the plasma parameters has close relation to the discharging spatial position.The function of water vapor absolutely increases the intensity of the OH radical but reduces the plasma electron excitation temperature.The gliding arc discharge plasma focused on this paper has OH radical with relative higher contents,electrons with high energy and it favors the widely application of treating industrial waste gases.The research work in this paper is helpful to further understand the discharge mechanism and affecting mechanism of gas-liquid phase gliding arc discharge under atmospheric pressure and lay the theoretical basis for its application in the field of exhaust gas treatment in thermal power plant.
