Geochemical data processing as one the most basic and important problems in geochemical work,and it decide success or fail.By processing the geochemical data,geochemical workers study the elements of the symbiotic combination pattern and spatial distribution,to determine the background value,abnormal division and evaluation of anomalies.The data processing methods are various and different methods are different.Data processing methods are various,and different methods have different processing results,The methods used in this paper are mean standard deviation method,content-area method and EDA method.And make a comparative analysis,select the best method suitable for the study area.The article takes the Geochemical exploration data in tuotuo area in Jinghe County of Xinjiang as an example,using correlation analysis,cluster analysis,factor analysis of the elements are divided,and the zoning series: Mo-(Sn-W-Pb-Ag-Hg)-(Cu-Zn-Ni)-(Au-As-Sb).Using mean standard deviation method,content-area method and EDA method to deal with geochemical exploration data,The lower limit values of the 12 elements were obtained.The application effects of the three methods in the study area were compared and analyzed.And the anomalies were analyzed and interpreted according to the geological background,and 4 prospecting targets were delineated.concluded that:1.As the large area,large samples,Sampling density,sampling time and different labs,regional geochemical data should be leveled;2.Mean standard deviation method should be maximize the former provided: the distribution of elements in geological body accord with normal distribution or log normal distribution,otherwise,simply add n times standard deviation to the mean and determine the anomaly threshold,the anomaly threshold value is far away the true value;3.Although content-area method can reflect most known ore deposits(spots),a large number of small and weak anomalies are identified,but the lower limit of anomaly is reduced and large area anomalies occur,which bring difficulties to the verification of anomalies;4.The abnormal EDA method not only reflects the delineation of the study area of known deposits(points),and abnormal strength,with good,high concentration center,Besides,EDA method identify some abnormal areas that do not found by the other methods,which is important to the next word.So,the EDA method is the most suitable method to determine geochemical anomaly thresholds in the region.By studying the strata,structures and intrusive rocks,deposits,geochemical anomaly and so on,the symbol in the study area is: the Fracture and secondary fracture +intermediate-acidic intrusive rocks +Au-As-Sb/Cu-Zn-Nigeochemical anomaly.According to the symbol,four important for prospecting target areas that have a good prospecting potential are been delineated.
