The ordinary imaging detection can obtain the spectral and intensity information of the target,but it's limitations will affect the acquisition of effective information of target when target is coated with a camouflage color or in a complex background in military applications.Polarization imaging can effectively identify and obtain the desired information in complex backgrounds by using the difference of polarization characteristics between target and background.Now,it has been widely used in military,medical and astronomical fields.Based on the theory of polarization imaging,this paper designs an opto-mechanical stucrture of simultaneous polarization imaging system,and the installation and calibration of the system are described.After the completion of the installation and calibration,field experiment was carried out,the acquired images were processed by image fusion,and the contrast of the target was improved by 40% compared with the ordinary imaging system,which showed the advantage of polarized imaging in target recognition in complex background.This study has reference significance to the design and installation of similar instruments. |
