The formation of atmospheric polarization modes is associated with sun position, atmospheric particle composition, climatic conditions, surface properties, etc. The polarization information among the atmosphere of polarization mode has wide range of application in analysis of atmospheric optical properties of polarization, polarization remote sensing, and biomimetic polarization navigation. Against the needs for static omnimax atmospheric polarization measurement, a system was built with ability of near 180° field of view nand the Stokes vector polarization measurement. A series of experiments include distribution pattern of linear polarization sunny weather, circularly polarized distribution patterns and neutral trajectory were conducted and analyzed. Establish of full Stokes vector polarization mode atmospheric measurement system can provide reliable high-precision observations and inversion data source for atmospheric optical polarization.The main contents of this paper include:(1) Against the needs for static omnimax atmospheric polarization measurement, a system was built with ability of near 180° field of view nand the Stokes vector polarization measurement. By analyzing the Stokes polarization measurement principle and the existing research on polarization measurement technology the overall framework and structure of the system were bulit and the mechanical structure was completed with some reasonable hardware.(2) Upon completion of the measurement system the corresponding calibration method were designed for calibrate spectral bands and Muller matrix to improve the measurement accuracy of the system. By this way a reliable quantitative relationship between output and input were provided for the accurate inversion of sky polarization information. Simultaneously some experimental were tested to measure the measurement error, the viewing angle and the amount of measurement data.(3) Using the measurement system some outfield eaperiments include Omnimax linearly polarized distribution patterns, circular polarization distribution patterns and neutral trajectories were observed and analyzed. By symmetry and maximum polarization orientation detection sunny sky line linearly polarized distribution patterns, prove the validity and reliability of the system, on the basis of measurement and analysis of the distribution pattern of circular polarization sunny skies. Finally, the sky Babinet and Arago neutral point trajectories were observed and analyzed.
