Electrical system includes generation system,transmission system and distribution system,which is an important part of lifeline system.Once it was damaged,the postearthquake emergency rescue,lives of victims and post-disaster reconstruction will be heavily impacted.As a result,it is of great significance to evaluate the seismic damage and economic loss of power facilities in the earthquake.However,relevant study is relatively less in domestic,especially the lack of sufficient seismic damage data.For example,the vulnerability and rapid assessment research of the power plant are still in the blank stage,and the research of substation and transmission line mainly focuses on the failure of its function or the vulnerability of its specific components,in which still lack a systematic and complete evaluation model of seismic damage.Although the research abroad is more mature,their evaluation model cannot be directly applied to the seismic damage assessment in China.To solve these problems,a fast evaluation method for economic damage caused by earthquake based on vulnerability of electric power facilities was presented in this paper.In this method,the seismic intensity was regarded as the main input parameters.The economic loss assessment of the power system was carried out and the fast evaluation model of the economic loss of the power system was established according to the various parts of the power system cost,vulnerability,loss ratio,as well as the national basic database.The main research contents and findings are as follows:(1)The basic composition of power system was expounded and the seismic damage of power facilities was summary introduced.The current related research achievements of power system seismic damage assessment at home and abroad and development tendency are summarized.(2)Based on a lot of statistical data,a method of provincial power grid data matching to the country district was explored.Then,a national power grid database that country as a unit available for emergency assessment are established,which contains information about the detailed asset distribution,the types of geography and risk of landslide secondary disaster in the 2856 districts over the whole country.These are the basis of rapid economic loss assessment of power grid in disaster area in the absence of detailed data.(3)The research results of vulnerability of power system at home and abroad were fully integrated and replenished,and vulnerability curves of rapid assessment at home were determined.Specifically,the vulnerability curves of substation indoor equipments were complemented and GIS substation vulnerability curve was also given.The thermal power plant,hydroelectric power station in the domestic research are in the blank stage and there is no relevant seismic damage data,the vulnerability curves mainly quoted from foreign achievements.The vulnerability of outdoor high voltage electrical equipment of substation and transmission line is mainly based on the research results of the seismic data in Wenchuan earthquake.(4)According to cost,vulnerability and loss ratio of the different parts of the power facilities,the substation was divided into outdoor voltage electrical equipment,indoor equipments and buildings.The rapid assessment model for seismic economic losses of monomer substation whether had detailed information about assets,structure types and fortification conditions or not was given.The rapid assessment model for seismic economic losses considering geological hazards risk of monomer transmission line was established.The relatively simple rapid assessment model of monomer thermal power plant and hydroelectric power station was also established.And the total economic loss assessment model of ordinary substation was proved to be reasonable through the test of Wenchuan earthquake substation samples data.(5)Finally,the total economic loss of substation and transmission lines were calculated when the seismic intensity is 6 degree,7 degree,8 degree,9 degree,10 degree according to the established power grid basic database by using the evaluation model,and the calculated results are expressed in ArcGIS thematic maps,which can provide support for seismic disaster reduction and earthquake emergency work of power industry and the government.
