Tectonic Evolution And Proto-type Basin Characteristics In The Arctic Region Of North American Plate

At present,research on North American basins has been widely developed,especially research on reservoir-forming condition of individual basins,however,the research in the arctic region of North American basins are limited due to environmental factors.There are rich reserves in the arctic region on North American plate.The highest is Alaska North Slope Basin,followed by Sverdrupt Basin.Therefore,I collected various information about North American arctic basins and made comparison between different regions to analyze characteristic of typical basins.This research will help with oversea oil and gas exploration for our country and also provide a deep understanding for reginal basin research method.The main research objective of this paper is to show the tectonic evolution and proto-type basin characteristics in Arctic region on North America plat.Through a systematic study and contrastive analysis about the basin structure,drew prototype basin maps and lithofacies paleogeographic maps on 13 important geological period,comparison diagram between North American plate north part basins and surrounding basins.Macroscopically speaking,the plate theory is treated as a basic theory,reconstructed ancient plates based on paleomagnetic data.Summary of the plate structural evolution among the north part of north American plate,Arctic ocean plate and Siberian plate;microscopically speaking,Sedimentology theory is treated as basic theory,from analyze individual typical basins including Alaska North Slope Basin,Sverdrupt Basin,to analyze basin evolutionary process and lithofacies palaeogeographic characteristics in different period and restore prototype basin.Combine with surrounding basins' evolutionary history,Canada Basin,Chukchi Basin,Baffin Bay Basin,prototype basin,Comprehensive comparison and analysis,summarize sedimentary characteristics of Arctic region on North American plate.To use macrovisual study support microscopic study and sum up the law.The main study content of this research is shown in a few aspects:Geological summary of North America plate on arctic region and the tectonic evolution of North America plate on north part;The lithofacies palaeogeographic characteristics of north America;Alaska north slope basin play details,sedimentary characteristics,tectonic evolution characteristics and prototype basin characteristics.Sverdrupt Basin play details,sedimentary characteristics,tectonic evolution characteristics and prototype basin characteristics.
