Study On Mechanismbetween Vegetation Roots And Soil In Ecology Slope Protection

The article is based on the ecological slope protection, taking the red clay and Terminalia Mantaly roots of Hainan as the research object. The related mechanics tests have been conducted to explore the slope resistance effect of vegetation roots and the roots deformation in shallow landslide, which aims to research the mechanics mechanism of slope protection with vegetation roots, use vegetation to make sure slope steady, and truly applied bio-technoly to slope protection.A tensile test which can get the tensile performance and the tensile stress-strain relationship is conducted about Terminalia Mantaly roots. In order to explore the relationship between diameter,burial, soil moisture content and roots-soil interface friction, tests of poll out of single root in soil were carried out. Through the complex cascading large root soil direct shear apparatus, shear tests in difference depth of sliding surface to two parallel roots were conducted to explore the influence between angle, soil moisture content and the shear strength of root and soil composite.Through pasting strain gauges on the tree root and measuring the strain values of roots under the horizontal loading, the influences on roots stress and load direction, and the impacts on slope stability by different roots and plant weight were studied.Comprehensive analysis shows that the roots into the layer can anchor the soil significantly and improve the stability of shallow landslide effectively,which has positive influence on its appear. But in some cases, the vegetation also may play negative effects on slope stability.According to the existing article, it's found that the roots of herbaceous with small diameter can reinforce the soil, and improve the shear strength of soil. Therefore, in order to reinforce the slope with vegetables, it is necessity to make use of varities of vegetables to prevent shallow landslides.
