Informatization Survey And Measurement Of Jiayuguan Pass Based On HBIM

With the development of BIM technology in the recent years, the attempts have been explored continuously in the related area of cultural heritage at home and abroad.Murphy, an Irish architect, was the first one to propose the concept of HBIM (Historic Building Information Modelling) and the corresponding process in 2009. At the same time, Tianjin University has been working on to explore the active application for BIM in survey and measurement of historical buildings. As a primary achievement, a new structure and type method and a framework model of information index were put forward, and summed up to a workflow of HBIM.Firstly,through combing the concept of HBIM, this paper regarded it as framework model of information index,rather than a supplement of drawings,writing reports and photographs. And point cloud is just a kind of data source rather than an necessary condition in HBIM workflow. Based on study of historic buildings of Jiayuguan Pass, this paper recognized and explored the value of Jiayuguan Pass. The platform was upgraded from CAD to BIM and the research application of BIM technology focused in survey and measurement of historical buildings. It consists a whole workflow from establishment of the parametric component library,organization, management and expression of information in survey and design, to the delivery of BIM results.Through typological method used in archaeology, Revit family system and the tectonic logic of building, the thesis built a family library of parametric objects which standardizes naming, classification, modeling and parameter settings. And following this standard, set the structure framing for an example, the thesis tried to make a date of development in method of typology to expand to the whole Hexi area. Combined the conclusion and related documentation, the age of the four historic buildings in Jiayuguan Pass is re-judged and dated back to early Qing Dynasty.Based on the survey and design work in Jiayuguan Pass protection project, the survey and design work was assumed to be a a hypothetical stage in life circle, and was divided into several different items. The purpose is to make the logical information express clearer and visualization more powerful, and the relevance and consistency can be enhanced from different sources (drawings, photographs, text,forms, etc.), thus improve the work efficiency of the designers and reviewers.Finally, aiming at the special achievement of BIM technology, the family library,a software is put forward in parametric component management and typology analysis.The views and BIM models can be expressed through Navisworks, DWF Viewer,Autodesk 360, Acrobat Extended and other different software or platforms. The delivery of HBIM outcomes are discussed to meet the requirement of different needs and different stages.
