By using the soil and moss layer of the natural habitat of the springtails as the culture medium, artificial breeding of springtails in the laboratory, the greatest degree of reduction of the natural growth conditions, low cost of feeding, large scale, simple operation,to achieve the purpose of maintaining the laboratory memory of living springtail. The collection of identification and classification of the hunting springtailsin the laboratory,a total of 6 genera, including Folsomia,Desoria,Proisotoma,Isotoma,Cryptopygus and Folsomides,a detailed summary of the ecological features of Isotonidae, and made detailed descriptions and drawings of Proisotoma minuta, the principle of water absorption of Desoria pseudosetispinosa ventral groove, that ventral groove can be divided into three sections: the anterior of the ventral tube segment, the ventral of thorax segment and the ventral of the head segment,it is the main absorbing water organ of springtail, the physiology function of the open and close freely can meet the individual demand for water. For example, studied the life history of Proisotoma minuta, explored the characteristics of Proisotoma minuta eggs hatching and surviving on liquid surfaces and water, produced by Proisotoma minuta eggs on the surface of the liquid than earlier in the soil surface, larvae can walk freely on the filter paper in the water;the oviposition behavior and embryo development of Proisotoma minuta were observed and described in detail, resulting in its oviposition time at about 9 pm and around 7 am,producing an egg about every five minutes, the total number of the oviposition each in between 30-50,the embryonic development takes 7 days from production to hatching,it can be divided into 8 stages;the morphological characteristics of Proisotoma minuta were described and mapped by taxonomy, the larvae of the newly hatched larvae were different from the adults in size and body parts,in addition to the eye is black, body color is white, the more obvious feature is the number of setae from sparse to dense, body color from white to gray, but the number of macrosetae and sensillum did not change, sexual maturity in the fifth instar, and continuing to molt after the sexual maturity.
