Hyperspectral remote sensing technology,in the decades after the birth, has been put into practical applications in many areas.Among them, geological exploration is one of the most successful applications. This is because mineral mapping is a very important part of geological exploration work, and the ultra-high spectral resolution of hyperspectral remote sensing is very important to improve the accuracy of mineral mapping. Many high-spectral mineral mapping techniques and application researches have been carried out at home and abroad. However, there are few studies on the effect of different spectral data and different mapping methods.According to this situation, based on the Hyperion satellite hyperspectral and SASI aerial hyperspectral data,a comparative study of the mineral mapping method was carried out in the Baiyanghe area of Xinjiang and Buxaier County, the main workload and the main achievements are as follows:1.The reflectance data needed for the comparative study of mineral mapping method were obtained by preprocessing of Hyperion data and SASI data, including radiation correction, geometric correction, atmospheric correction and bad pixel removal.2.PPI and SMACC algorithms are used to extract the endmember of spaceborne Hyperion data and airborne SASI data, and the endmember spectras database is established, which lays the foundation for the comparative study of mineral mapping.3.Through the comparison of the three mineral mapping methods of SAM,MTMF and SFF and the comparison of hyperspectral mineral mapping effect based on Hyperion data and SASI data,it is considered that the MTMF mapping effect is better than that of SAM and SFF algorithms for Hyperion data. For the SASI airborne hyperspectral data, the SAM and MTMF mineral mapping methods are better than the SFF method.Among them, for the high-aluminum sericite, the sericite, the low-aluminum sericite and other minerals with similar spectral characteristics, the effects of SAM and MTMF are similar. But the SAM mapping effect is better in terms of chlorite and borage stone mineral mapping. In the case of minerals with small distribution and obvious spectral absorption characteristics such as pyrophyllite and carbonate, the MTMF method is used to get better results with higher accuracy.4.The results show that the species and accuracy of SASI airborne hyperspectral data are significantly higher than those of Hyperion data by comparing the effects of mineral mapping on two different scales of hyperspectral data. However, the results of mineral mapping of two kinds of data have good consistency in the spatial distribution mineral species, which indicates that Hyperion data can meet the requirement of detection rate of alteration minerals in practical application.
