3D geographic information system is more intuitive to display spatial information.It is more powerful in real and multidimensional spatial analysis,and has a unique advantage in visualization,which is becoming an important research direction of GIS.The Xinlicheng Reservoir,which is a large-scale water conservancy project,is the only water conservancy project on the Yitong River.It is a key water source for the residents of Changchun City,which controls,monitors and manages the water resources of the Yitong River.In order to effectively organize and manage reservoir-related information,improve water resources utilization and ensure water security,the traditional two-dimensional artificial reservoir management method can not meet the diversified demands of information management.Therefore,the application of 3D GIS technology to reservoirs Management system which is now the Xinlicheng reservoir for the research background,the development of the Xinlicheng reservoir 3D geographic information system.This paper completes the design and establishment of the spatial database of Xinlicheng Reservoir,and realizes the mutual query between graphic data and attribute data to meet the needs of users.The modeling of key structures in the reservoir area is completed by using Sketch Up 3D modeling software.In the Skyline superimposed remote sensing image data,DEM data and three-dimensional model data,to achieve three-dimensional scene.The development of 3D geographic information system is based on.NET platform,the use of C # language,combined with ArcEngine control and TerraExplorer secondary development interface,to achieve the 3D scene browsing,spatial query,terrain measurement,submergence analysis and other functional modules.The development of 3D geographic information system of Xinlicheng Reservoir can make the reservoir management personnel view,analyze and manage the data in the same platform,and improve the informationization level of Xinlicheng Reservoir.
