Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function(BRDF) is an important topic of the research on the reflected characteristic from material surfaces, which is widely applied in the fields of target detection, space remote sensing and image processing. Research on the surface roughness is insufficient to reflect the optical characteristics of the material itself. In this research, based on the research experiments of BRDF target surface structural characteristics and combined with the method of scattering spectrum and the theory of BRDF, six types of common mental and the surface microstructure samples are measured under the same angle. By utilizing the standard boards to calculate the BRDF number of six types of the samples and analyzing BRDF with the changes of wavelength, it proves that the changes of surface structure make different influences on the different material of BRDF.Through the analysis on the BRDF changes with angle, BRDF can distinguish the two samples of same material with different structures. Meanwhile, it also proves that the structure of grating and cylindrical can reduce the reflectivity in an effective way through the research on spectrum and BRDF, which makes the target reflectivity decrease by under ten percent.
