The Social Effect Research On The Science And Technology Involvement Of Wenchuan Post-Disaster Reconstruction

Wenchuan massive earthquake, happened on 12 th May, 2008, has caused huge loss of life and property for people in the disaster area, the scientific technology has involved in all aspects of disaster reconstruction in the process of post-disaster reconstruction, it has made a significant technology supportive effect on implement.Scientific technology helps reconstruction of disaster and in return, the social career of reconstruction gives full play to the function of technology as a tool, furthermore, it promotes the development and innovation of technology, it is the interactive activity for both science & technology and society and somewhat derive the social effect. This passage intends to analyze the situation of science and technology involvement on Wenchuan post-disaster reconstruction through the perspective of STS theory.There are five chapters, the first one is Introduction, analyzing briefly about the reference of selecting the topic, related research summarize, the possibility of creative and hard point. The second chapter is about the definition of STS theory, it mainly introduces the related theory about STS in the inactive of science & technology and society, as well as technology involvement, post-disaster reconstruction, social effect, etc. So as to form the foundation of logic and concept of this passage. On the third chapter, it describes the situation of post-disaster reconstruction in seven aspects, including Scientific Outlook on Development, the guiding and symmetric scientific thought on reconstruction, mode of operation and assessment of technology, the foundation of guidance and scientific reconstruction plan, precondition and policy measurement, human resource and the effect of advanced technology on reconstruction.The fourth chapter is the main part in this passage, pointing out the social effect caused by science and technology involvement in Wenchuan post-disaster reconstruction, as the positive assembly effect(comprised by the effect of science and technology innovation, industry innovation and human resource development) and spreading effect(comprised by sample effect and technology promotion effect), as well as negative hysteresis effect on spiritual culture. In the last chapter, it proposes the conclusion and rethink about technology involvement on post-disaster reconstruction, which comes up with the thought that the essence of science and technology involvement on post-disaster reconstruction is the interactive process of technology and society, we must stick to the guidance of Scientific Outlook on Development on reconstruction and promotion of equity on Public Service in Science and Technology.
