Dongsheng mine is located in the north of the Ordos Basin, where is rich in coal resources, but under the influence of continental sedimentary environment and multiple tectonic movements, the water abundances had great difference in different aquifers,which brings great threat to the mining of coal resources. Studying on the characteristics of the water abundance of the aquifer in this area and the influence factors is the premise of mine water disaster's prevention.In this paper, by consulting the relevant literature at home and abroad, collecting the geology and hydrogeology data in the study area, analysing the pumping tests of Jurassic aquifers, Bojianghaizi mine and Selian 2nd mine are taken as examples, which respectively located in the west and east of Dongsheng mines, the local characteristics of the water abundance are divided into two types, that is:regionally weak, locally medium. Then, analyzed the influencing factors of characteristics of the water abundance of Jurassic aquifers, from regional continental sedimentary environment and multiple tectonic movements:meandering river facies are weaker than braided river facies, but stronger than lacustrine facies, the more development the sandstone, the stronger the water abundance; the more development the geological structure, the stronger the water abundance.
