Our country is relatively short of the mineral resources. In order to develop and utilize the mineral resources in the world reasonably, we should research its mineral first. The mineral of this article aiming at is U, rare metals and rare-earth elements in Labrador.Labrador is located in the eastern edge of the Canadian Shield, at which, the U mineralization types are various. But the most important mineralization is hosted in metamorphosed volcanic and sedimentary rocks, which mainly distributed in Paleoproterozoic Era supracrustal rocks and intrusive rocks in the Central Mineral Belt (CMB) of Makkovik Province. The mineralization styles in this area are Magma style?Epigenetic-Hydrothermal style?Cut Tape styleand layered mineralization in sandy sedimentary rocks, but have not found the typical unconformity. The mineralization of rare metals and rare-earth elements is concerned with exceeding alkaline felsic rocks and extrusive rocks, which invade with high tone at "orogenic period".The mineralization surrounding rocks are igneous rock series at Mesoproterozoic, which are spread over the late magmatic event, which was formed by the large proterozoic anorthosite-granitic batholith in Labrador. Most of the mineralization basically belongs to magma terminal type.On the base of its different location and mineralization types, combining with "similarity analogy method" in mineral prospecting, ore-forming geological characteristics and mineralization geological data of deposits which have been found, we can deline White Bear Lake and Nash Lake exploration strategy selection of U deposit, Mistastin Lake and Red Wine Mountains exploration strategy selection of rare metals and rare-earth elements. They can provide a certain work gist for our country to interpose.
