Labor force participation rate is an important indicator of the product condition of society. In recent decades, the labor population size of Guangdong has increased significantly. Its positive influence is such a large labor force, provides abundant labor supply for economic development in Guangdong province. Its negative influence is the demand of labor force will decrease, excessive labor supply will restrict the development of society and economy.Firstly, this paper analyzes the meaning and calculation method of labor participation rate, further analyzes the influence factors of the labor force participation rate and economic growth theory; Secondly, the descriptive statistical analysis on the labor force participation rate of Guangdong was carried out. Focus on the Pearl River Delta, Dongji, Xiji, Shanqu and so on four regions differences in labor force participation rate and its causes. And then, analysis the change trend of labor force participation of Guangdong province. Using the grey forecasting method to predict the change of the labor force participation rate in the future ten years of Guangdong province, and carried out the empirical analysis of the labor force participation rate and economic growth in Guangdong province and its four regions, correlation of regression model is set up respectively. Using co-integration test and unit root test, outcome associated measurement problems; The results show that the labor force participation rates of change affected by economic growth, and changes in economic growth is also affected by the labor force participation rate; Finally, the issues put forward policy recommendations for the lack of reflection while the presence of this study, and the research prospects will be described.
