A Research On The Development Of Tourism Industrial Cluster In Shanxi Province

As a sunrise industry,Tourism is also a strategic emerging industry of our country. With the tourism industry cluster is forming,especially with Michael Porter putting forward the concept of "tourism cluster" in 1998, more and more scholars began to study tourism phenomena from the perspective of industrial cluster, and which has become a hot topic of the current tourism research. Almost synchronous with the world, tourism in our country entering the clustering era from the industrialization. With the promulgation and implementation of the "Tourism law", and China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan joint declaration of "The silk road project" was included in the "world cultural heritage list", the tourism industry cluster research was pushed to a new climax.In recent years, under Multiple pressure, the Shanxi economy has entered the "the most difficult period in the history". Shanxi Province has a rich amount of tourism resources,but is lacking in industrialization and clustering,which becomes a big confusion in the tourism development in Shanxi. Shanxi Province richs in tourism resources but poors in protection,and the tourism industry economic added value is high but Shanxi economic development relative lag, which becomes a pair of prominent contradictions of the tourism industry and even the whole development of social economy in the current Shanxi.One of the way to resolve this contradiction is to develop the tourism industry greatly, to realize the industrialization of tourism resources and the clustering of tourism industry, in order to alleviate the pressure of growth, and to solve the problem of the serious shortage of maintenance funds.Both regional economic growth and the development of the tourism industry can not be an exception, so the vioce to enhance local economic growth from the perspective of the development of tourism industry cluster is becoming louder and louder.Development of tourism industry cluster is helpful of driving the local economic growth and promoting industrial structure optimization, especially which could provide the inexhaustible power for resource-based areas such as Shanxi with industry transformation and upgrading, thus we should to accelerate the clustering development of tourism industry.Based on the basic theory of regional economics, tourism and other related disciplines,this article first made a review of related tourism industry cluster theory, which has laid a good groundwork for the later study. Then the SWOT analysis method is adopted to generalizes the current situation of the development of tourism industry of Shanxi province.Shanxi tourism has completed the industrialization process,whether can enter the stage of clustering,here regression analysis method is used to analysis in the spillovereffects,thus the feasibility of the development of Shanxi tourism industry cluster are analyzed,and argue that the spillover effect caused by the tourism industry to economic growth is positive, the tourism resources in Shanxi Province industrialization degree is higher, which is suitable for cluster development.Then the current situation of industrial clustering of 11 cities in Shanxi is evaluated comprehensively through three elements of the urban tourism function, degree of industrial concentration and space contact.In view of the characteristics of strong association of tourism industry cluster, by adopting the combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis,the paper constructs the tourism industry cluster evaluation system,and tries to measure the degree of tourism industry cluster of Shanxi in recent 10 years;then we constructed the "four modernizations" evaluation system, and measured the degree of "four modernizations" in Shanxi, coupling analysis has been done with the tourism industry clustering and the “four modernizations” respectively by utilizing the method of coupling analysis,the coupling analysis found that the existence of high coupling between tourism industry cluster and the "four modernizations", which provides a theoretical basis for product innovation of tourism industry cluster.finally, from the perspective of solving problems and promoting development, according to the actual situation in Shanxi, the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for the development of tourism industry cluster.
