China And Iran Free Trade Area Concept Study

Since the 1990 s, the world rise a wave of the global economic globalization and regional economic integration. Under the background of economic integration,countries in the world are constantly looking to expand and deepen economic cooperation with other countries. FTA is one of the regional economic integration basic form. through establishing free trade area with the same area as well as inter-regional countries, member countries could eliminate the barriers and unfavorable conditions to seek mutual benefit, and promoting members country’s economic development.China is in an important economic transition period, free trade area construction is an important part of the new reform and opening up round. In 17 th cpc national congress, Free trade area construction rose to the national strategic level, 18 th cpc national congress proposed to implement a perimeter-based, globally oriented high-standard FTA network strategy. At present, China has signed free trade agreements as many as 14, involving 22 countries and regions, and are negotiating free trade area under study reached 12.Iran and China are all big countries in Asia, and playing important role in the world economic arena. Economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has a long history, the political basis are firmer, and, on the resources、 energy and industrial structure have strong complementarity, which are for the development of Sino-Iranian economic and trade relations has laid a solid foundation. Entering the new century, Sino-Iranian economic ties to a new level: in 2014, total import and export trade between China and Iran reached $ 51.8 billion; China has surpassed the EU to become Iran’s largest trading partner; and, more importantly, the peaceful settlement of the Iranian nuclear crisis and China’s “the Belt and Road”building has entered a substantive stage of construction, providing an excellent opportunity for Sino-Iranian cooperation. In the top of the national strategy “the Belt and Road” in which Iran is an important node. How to upgrade the economic and trade cooperation between China and Iran, and realizing the Silk Road Economic Belt core area building, free trade area between China and Iran can not be ignored.This paper mainly in the Iranian free trade zones vision research, the main research methods used are literature research, theoretical analysis, empirical analysis, quantitative analysis and spatial analysis, etc., from multiple angles and Iran FTA carried out analyzed and discussed. Article consists of six parts, the first part is an introduction, mainly on the Sino-Iranian free trade zones concept background, significance and research status. The second part introduces the theory, as the theoretical basis for the construction of a free trade zone, this section details the customs union theory, comparative advantage theory. The third section reviews the development process of Sino-Iranian economic and trade cooperation, Sino-Iranian trade by collecting data on the status of economic and trade relations between China and Iran characteristics were analyzed. The fourth part clarifies the Iranian free trade zones in the realistic foundation and conditions by the Iraqi Trade binding analysis, quantitative analysis of intra-industry trade advantage Iranian index construction clear basis in Iraq FTA, from Iraq development opportunities, as well as the international situation favorable conditions described conditions in Iraq FTA construction. Part VII is the conclusion.Through this study, we can get the conclution that free trade area could be constructed successfully between Iran and China. Although there will be some construction process constraints in the future, but the Sino-Iranian free trade area is in line with economic globalization and regional economic integration trend, but also conforms to the common interests of both countries. Therefore, China and Iran should be strongly supported and encouraged.based on the advantages of geographic, political, and other resources on the active cooperation, strengthen communication and understanding, to overcome obstacles and work together.
