The Rural Social Security System Construction Research Und Er The Perspective Of Socialist Harmonious Society

China is an agricultural country. Due to its vast territory and large population, the issue of agriculture, rural areas and farmer is a major problem of the national economic development. As the basic system to coordinate economic development and alleviates social contradiction, social security is benefit to the harmonious development of society. Since reform and opening up, a security system has been built up for the urban residents with high coverage and insurance, however, influenced by dual economy structure, the development of the security system for the broad masses of farmers is quite fell behind. The rural security system is the prerequisite to solve the issue of agriculture, rural area and farmer and is related to the sustainable development of rural economy and society stability. Therefore, more efforts should be paid to rural society security system construction as the construction of urban society security system is undergoing. The six provinces of central China are major agricultural provinces. Their actual situation is different from other provinces. Hence, the improvement of their rural society security system should be conduced through field research, the capture of the source of problems and applying effective measures.This study aims at constructing socialism harmonious society and based on equity theory of Marxism. According to the field research of rural society security system construction in Yueyang Hunan province, this study analyzes and sorts the problems of rural society security construction in central China, and proposes countermeasures that strengthen the construction of rural social security. The thesis is divided into five parts: The first part is introduction, which introduces the research background, research significance and research status etc. The second part summarizes the basic theory of society security and states the meaning of improving rural society security to the socialism harmonious society construction. The third part takes the rural areas of Yueyang as an example to analyze the current situation and problems of the rural society security construction in central China through combining the results of interview survey with related official statistical data. The fourth part pointedly proposes resolving suggestions to strengthen the construction of rural social security for both government and farmers. The final part reiterates the significance of the rural society security construction in central China relating to building a well-off society in an all-round way and improving farmers’ living levels.
